What to do, what to say, and what not to say.
a. Avoid the pressure. You have 15 days to make a decision and to choose an option. That's not a lot of time and it puts a lot of pressure on you. You need time to think, to get over the shock of being pulled over, of being given a traffic ticket. You need time to research and think about what to do. Requesting a trial defers your decision to a later time. The amount of time for your traffic ticket to go to trial can vary from four months in Peel Region to over 14 months in Toronto. That gives you a lot of time to prepare and to consider what you want to do.
