Best time to go
The absolute best time is just before the end of the day around 4:20 p.m. Most people think it's too late to go. But as long as you're in the door, they have to serve you. Note some offices stop serving new clients 15 minutes before closing so budget your time carefully. The next best time is mid-morning just after 9:30 when most people are at work but before coffee breaks start. Some people also try to do it before work so the next busiest time is 8:30 to 9:30.
Mid-week especially Wednesdays are better days to go. A lot of people can't be bothered going in after a tough week, so early on a Friday and end of the day Friday are slightly better times. However keep in mind that there is fewer staff in the office Friday afternoon as they also cut out early on Fridays.
The absolute worst time is lunch when everyone goes. You can expect waits of over an hour between 11:30 and 2:30. The absolute worst day is the day after a long weekend or holiday when offices must deal with twice as many people as they normally would.
